Photos are the quickest record on site. Konverge keeps each one with its project, when and where it was taken, who took it, and what it’s about.
Take photos
On the phone: tap Capture in the middle of the bottom bar, then Photo. Take several shots in a row, or choose Import from gallery. Tap Done to review them.
On Review & File:
- File to project (the active project is chosen for you).
- Add a caption, a category (General, Progress, Quality, Safety, Issue or Completion), tags and a description.
- Link to… a recent record, such as today’s daily log or a snag, or Pin to a drawing location: pick the sheet and tap where the photo was taken.
- The phone adds your location if you allow it. Tap refresh if it hasn’t found a fix yet.
Then Upload. After it’s saved, Konverge asks what next: Create punch item, Add to today’s daily log, Create field note, Report incident, or ask the assistant to draft something from the photo.
On the web: open the project’s Photos tab and upload photos from your computer.
Mark up a photo
Open a photo and choose Mark up. Draw, add arrows and text notes, then save. Annotations are saved on top of the photo: the original photo is never changed, and an annotated photo carries an Annotated badge.
Find photos
The project’s Photos tab shows every photo on the job. Filter by when it was taken (today, 7 days, 30 days), by category, by Pinned to drawing, Has GPS location or Linked to a record, or search captions and tags.
Make a photo report
On the web, in the project’s Photos tab, choose Make a photo report. Give it a title (for example “Week 39 photos · Riverside”), add notes that print under the title, choose the photos, then Make PDF. The report uses your company letterhead.
Good to know
- Without signal, photos are saved on the phone and upload when you reconnect. You don’t need to keep the app open.
- Pinning a new photo to a drawing needs a connection. Without one, the photo uploads to the project and you can pin it later.
- A drawing that is still processing can’t take pins yet. Link the photo to the project instead and pin it once the drawing is ready.
- Location is only taken when you take the photo, never in the background.
