Help · Drawings & documents

Open any sheet at full detail, even without signal. Mark it up, drop pins for snags and RFIs, follow links between sheets, and measure lengths, areas and counts once the scale is set.

Who can do it
Everyone with access to Documents & drawings can view. Anyone with Create records can mark up, pin and measure. Only a markup's author, or a manager, can change or delete it.

Find and open a sheet

Open the project’s drawings, then a folder, and tap a sheet. Pinch or scroll to zoom; the detail sharpens as you go in. Use Find sheet… to jump by number, name or discipline, and the arrows to move to the previous or next sheet.

Sheet links on the drawing (“see detail 5 on A-501”) were found by Konverge when the set was read. Tap one to jump to that sheet or view. If a link is wrong, hide it.

Mark up

Tap Markup to open the tools:

Tool What it does
Select Pick a markup to move, recolour, duplicate or delete it.
Draw Pen and highlighter.
Shapes Line, arrow, box, circle, ellipse, cloud and callout.
Text A note on the drawing.
Stamp Approved, Rejected, Revised, Reviewed, Void, Draft, For construction, Preliminary.
Measure Length, Area and Count.
Link To another sheet, a file or a photo.

Each markup is either Team (everyone on the project sees it) or Private (only you). You can make your private markups public later. Undo and Redo are on the tray.

Layers shows or hides markups, pins, sheet links and views, and filters them: all, mine, public, open pins, pins assigned to me.

Pins

Use the Pin tool to tie a record to a spot: a snag, a task, an RFI, a photo, an observation, an issue or an inspection. The pin shows the record’s status. On the phone, raising an issue at a spot and choosing RFI opens the RFI form with your question, and marks the spot when the RFI is raised. Raising an RFI needs signal.

Set the scale, then measure

Measurements need the drawing’s scale. Tap Set scale, draw a line over something whose length you know (a gridline dimension, a door), then type that length in mm, m or feet and inches. If Konverge has read a scale from the title block, it offers that too.

The scale is shared: everyone on the project measures that sheet with it, so set it once, carefully.

Then measure:

  • Measure: draw a line; the length shows on it.
  • Area: tap each corner, then Finish.
  • Count: tap each item (sockets, say), then Finish.

Switch the readings between Metric and Feet on the tray. Measurements stay on the drawing as markups, and can be added to an estimate. See Takeoff.

Without signal

Sheets you’ve opened before are Saved on this device and open in full with no signal. Markup and pins you add offline save on the phone and sync later; an amber dot marks a markup waiting to sync. A sheet you’ve never opened can’t be shown offline.

Good to know

  • Only the person who drew a markup, or a manager, can change or delete it. Clear all markups removes only your own unless you’re a manager; your teammates’ stay.
  • If a sheet has a newer revision, the viewer marks it Superseded.
  • If part of a sheet doesn’t load, tap Retry on the Some detail didn’t load notice.
