Konverge is construction management software for builders and contractors: estimating, programme, site records, drawings, job costing and payment applications in one workspace. It puts the office in a browser and the site on the phone that is already in the foreman’s pocket, and it is designed from the harshest place it will be used: a riser with no signal, in gloves, in the sun.
Design decisions
Each one costs us something to keep. Each one is the reason a site team keeps using the app after week two.
Most construction software is designed at a desk and then shrunk onto a phone. Konverge goes the other way. If a screen works for a labourer in gloves in bright sun with no signal, it works for a quantity surveyor at a laptop; the reverse is never true. So the field sets the baseline: a big capture button, large tap targets, an icon and a label on every tab, and working offline treated as normal. Office roles are then given more on screen, not less.
An assistant that changes your project records on its own is a liability on a regulated site. Konverge’s copilot proposes; a person confirms; and the change is permission-checked, logged and saved offline exactly as if they had made it by hand. That is not a setting. It is how the system is built, and it is the reason we can put AI in front of a daily log.
A phone cannot render an A0 PDF quickly, and a site cannot wait. Konverge prepares every sheet on our servers the way online maps work, so the phone loads only the part you are looking at, sharp at any zoom, and, in the phone apps (coming soon), keeps it for the week without signal.
Status
In beta on the web, with founding pilots among general contractors in the UK and US; the iPhone and Android apps are coming soon. Anyone can start a 14-day free trial, with a card at sign-up, on one of four packages from Solo for one person to Enterprise for multi-office firms. The roadmap says what is next, and the changelog says what shipped.
