Use Share link… on a document, a drawing, a daily log, an inspection or a snag. Konverge makes a link the recipient opens without an account: copy it, or use Email link… to send it with a short message.

On the web you can also share a whole folder or a document package, and choose how long the link lasts: 7, 30 or 90 days. Links made on the phone last 30 days.

Every link shows when it expires and how many times it has been viewed. The project’s Shared links tab on the web lists every link, with a log of when it was opened or downloaded.

Revoke link stops a link working straight away, for everyone who has it. It can’t be undone: make a new link if you need one again.

Send for signature

Estimates, proposals, change orders, payment applications and subcontracts can be signed by people who don’t use Konverge, such as your client or a subcontractor.

  1. Open the record and choose Send or sign…, then Send for signature.
  2. Add each signer’s name and email address, and their role if it helps (“Client”, “Contracts manager”).
  3. Choose the signing order, Everyone at once or One after another (each person gets their link when the one before has signed), add a message, choose when signing closes, and send.

Each signer gets an email with a link. They read the document, enter their full name, sign on the page and agree to sign electronically. They can also decline, with a reason. No account, no app. You can see each signer’s progress on the record: sent, opened, signed or declined.

When everyone has signed, Konverge makes the signed copy: the document exactly as it was signed, followed by a signing certificate that says who signed, when and from where, with a fingerprint of the document so anyone can check later that it hasn’t changed. What signing does to the record (an estimate becomes accepted, say) is shown before you send.

If the record is changed after it was sent, the request is cancelled automatically, so nobody signs an out-of-date version. Send it again.

Send by email

Send or sign… → Send by email emails a PDF of the record with your letterhead, plus a link to view it. Invoices and purchase orders are sent this way too.

Good to know

  • A link shows only what it was made for. A drawing link doesn’t open the rest of the project.
  • Signing requests expire. An expired or declined request can be sent again.
  • Clients who use the client portal can also approve and sign there. See The client portal.
